Perfect fishing
Bad fishing is now a thing of the past—you are guaranteed to catch fish both in the lagoon and in the Rio Arapiuns river as long as you know how to catch them. With a local guide, you will get many exciting exotic fish. Larger fish than you can imagine swim in the river, and you will be surprised at how amusing they look!
Jungle Safari
Be amazed by nature’s mightiest trees in the primary rainforest—rainforest that has never been touched by humans. The largest trees are up to 50 meters in circumference. You can see one of these trees in our teaser video, and yes, we filmed it with a drone for the first time in history!
Amazing Wildlife
The area is rich in wildlife and offers plenty of opportunities for exploration. A lovely little turtle farm is only 10 minutes from our area, where turtles are bred to maintain the river population. There is an annual release event that can be experienced.
Cave Excursion
You can visit caves with cave paintings that are 12,000 years old and challenge all previous religious indoctrination and learned history.

The local culture in Alter do Chao is lively, with wonderful festivals and celebrations throughout the year.

Alter do Chao has a good selection of eateries offering delicious Brazilian and international dishes. We highly recommend Mango Bar, located by the dock, which serves delicious and healthy options.
Beach Life
We are fortunate to have 1.8 km of beach for ourselves, facing the sunrise. So there is no need to go anywhere to sunbathe or swim. However, if you want a livelier atmosphere, the most popular beach is about a 1-hour boat ride away in Alter do Chao.
